Is the time coming soon when reading an e-book on a thin, bendable electronic screen gives you the same experience as reading a paper book?

Researchers from Queen's University and Arizona State University in Canada are developing a thin, bendable smartphone with a screen that uses a version of the e-ink technology currently used in the Sony Reader and Kindle.

Dubbed the 'paperphone', the prototype is said to have 'all the features of a smartphone' and its 9.5cm flexible size is described as' more portable than any current mobile computer '.

"It looks and feels like an interactive piece of paper. You can fold it up and turn it into a mobile phone, or you can scroll the corners to turn pages, or you can write on it with a pen, "said Roel Vertegaal, Director of the Human Media Lab at Queen's University and creator of paperphone.
